Location

Kirklea Guest House is only a mile from the famous, historical centre of Edinburgh, and can be reached easily by private or public transport.

By Car

You can reach us from the south or west via the A70 or A71. The guest house is just off one of the main arteries, Slateford Road, a ten minute drive from the West End of the main shopping thoroughfare in the centre of town, Princes Street.

The Guest House is approximately 20 minutes drive from Edinburgh Airport at Turnhouse.

We are just a few minutes walk from the local shops.

By Bus

Currently, LRT bus number 35 will take you from Edinburgh airport to Kirklea in about 40 minutes for a small fare. Get off the bus at the last stop in Slateford Road at St Michael's church. We are directly behind the church.

We are conveniently situated for local transport, there are buses into town every few minutes and the fare prices are extremely reasonable.

By Train

Most trains coming to Edinburgh also stop at Haymarket Train Station, one stop before the main station, Waverley. It is best to get off at Haymarket if possible, then take a 35 or 44 bus from nearby Gorgie Road to the bus stop just past the junction of Ardmillan Terrace and Slateford Road. The guest house is directly behind St Michael's church, which you will see on getting off the bus.
